How To Get Over A Break Up

One of my close friends has recently became single again after splitting up with a long term boyfriend and it got me thinking that I should post a little guide on how to get over the bastards!

RANT
Ranting is a quick fix but it can help big time. Especially because when couples break up, at least one of them feels like the other person hasn’t been listening to a damn word they said during the whole relationship. If Ross never did anything romantic, your mates will let you rant about it. If that dickhead Steven did anything weird in bed then I can guarantee that your mates will let you rant then laugh long enough to cheer you up, at least for the night. Side note: one of my friends has some excellent ex stories. If only I could publish them on a public website.

GET A NEW HAIR DO
This is the go-to thing isn’t it? if it looks great then you’ll feel amazing and be wondering why you ever let a sod like Phil treat you like shit anyway. If the hairdo is horrendous… then at least you’re crying about your hair and not your ex.

RETAIL THRAPY

OK, so you don’t actually need new stuff. But buy new stuff anyway. Get a dress that makes you look bang tidy then go out and show it off. Note: don’t max out your credit card! Buying stuff from Primark works here just as well as Prada and keeps you out of the red.

CRY
Sometimes you just have to admit defeat and cry over the little twat that broke your heart. Let it all out then try and put it behind you.

GO OUT WITH YOUR MATES
This can be anything from going out to dinner, sitting in watching Netflix or going out on the lash. If you're with your friends then you’ll get through anything. Beware when getting drunk with your friends though, don’t phone him when you’re mortal and call him a shit head or tell him that you miss him. Sober you will not appreciate it!
