The Christmas Tag

What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
It has to be Die Hard, Jingle All the Way and Home Alone.
I know it is a bit of a variety but they’re all so good! Nothing says Christmas quite like Bruce Willis fighting bad guys / Arnie tracking down toys / Macauly Culkin getting left behind.

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
A bit of both! I’ve always opened presents from my dad on Christmas Eve. We sit and open them together at midnight (so is that technically Christmas morning?!). I open my other presents when I wake up on Christmas Day.

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Being with my dad. He’s been working on oil rigs on a few occasions so I always appreciate it more when he’s home.  Being away from loved ones on Christmas is rubbish!

Favourite Festive Food?
Soooo many! My birthday is the 22nd of December so my house is full to the brim with goodies on Christmas. Chocolate is the obvious answer but I eat loads of it over the festive holidays

Favourite Christmas Gift?
I think it was probably something arty. I loved arty things when I was little but nothing sticks out in my mind. My favourite toy in the world is my Simba teddy but my dad bought me that when the Lion King was first released; it wasn’t a Christmas gift.  I still love him, more than 20 years on.

Favourite Christmas Scent?
Christmas tree mixed with tinsel. It’s a happy smell!

Do you have any Christmas Eve Traditions?
Not anything extravagant I’m afraid! I like seeing my friends for a little while and we usually go to the pub for a drink or two, or go to the cinema if there is a good film out. Then I go home and relax in my pjs. I usually stuff my face with chocolate and watch a film with my dad.

What tops your Christmas Tree?
A big beautiful Angel. I used to have a big glittery star but I love Angels so I swapped it over. I put the star onto my living room windowsill now.

As a kid what was one crazy gift you always asked for but never received?
I never really asked for much as a child. I knew that if my dad had it, he would give me it. I was happy with every present I got and I think that’s because I never had my heart set on anything.

What's the best part about Christmas for you?
The feeling I get. I know it sounds super cheesy but I get that ‘happy’ glow inside me at Christmas. It also makes me very thankful for what I have.
