I recently went into Boux Avenue for the first time and now I'm just wondering what took me so long?!
I pass the Glasgow one regularly and I've even went in once or twice for a look but I usually buy my bras from Ann Summers and (before it got rubbish) La Senza. As I am a natural 32F, I find it hard to find bras in my size from most high street stores. Or, if they stock my size, they arent always the best of fits.... Primark, George, etc, I'm looking at you.
I decided to go in for a fitting as it had been a while since I was last measured. Most companies say you should be measured / replace bras every 6 to 12 months. I would be skint if I replaced all of my bras every 6 months so I tend to just throw away any ill fitting bras if and when I need to but I do try and get professionally measured at least once a year. I'd even advise being measured in every underwear shop that you like, as sizing can be different from brand to brand.
The fitting service itself was the best I've ever had. The girl was very helpful and spent a lot of time with me. She put me at ease even when I was standing in the fitting room half naked and a bit embarrassed. Once I was measured the girl got me a variety of different bras to try on and gave me loads of advice about which ones would fit me best. I left with 4 gorgeous bras and I have my eye on a lot more!
Badly fitting bras can cause a wide range of problems so its probably best to avoid wearing rubbish ones! It is thought that about 80% of women wear the wrong sized bra, are you one of them?
