I was there for 4 days and loved every single minute of it. What a beautiful city Paris is, I'd go back in a heartbeat. I squeezed a lot of touristy things into 4 days but I still have so much more to see and do; I have an excuse to go back, right?
I visited the Louvre, eventually! I have wanted to visit for years as I love museums (geek) and it was fantastic. I only spent half a day there so I only seen a fraction of the pieces on show. I wanted to see the Egyptian artifacts and Da Vinci's work most so I cut my time down, otherwise I could have spent the whole weekend there. I hadn't realised how huge the Louvre is! I'll definitely go back so I can spend more time looking around.
Of course I had to visit the Eiffel Tower! I went both at night and during the day. Night time was my favourite due to the light show, it is spectacular. I highly recommend waiting around for the light show, which lasts for 5 minutes every hour.
One of my favourite sights was the Catacombs. Basically, its a mass grave below the streets of Paris. There are literally millions of skeletons down there and it was interesting /creepy /fascinating. It did feel a little claustrophobic at times but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I did so much, I don't want to bore you all by going into detail about everything so I will just say this - there is so much to see and do in Paris. And it wasn't as expensive as other cities I've visited, so you get a lot for your money. One thing I did hate was the food. I am definitely not a fan! I was a typical Brit and visited a few British pubs and McDonalds, don't judge me! Call me fussy, but frogs legs and snails just aren't my thing...
