Carmex Review - The Easy Way to Soft Lips!

Carmex is a saviour for me and my pout! I use it all year round but I step up my game during the winter months as it stops the skin going all cracked and dry.

You can buy it from a variety of shops (Boots, Superdrug, Bodycare) for around £3 / £4. This might seem a lot compared to other lip balms but it is far superior to them and I think its worth every single penny.

It is an intensive lip balm and can soothe even the driest of lips! I honestly can't even stress enough how much this calms cracked lips and how fast it does so! Literally within a day or so. It might nip a little if your lips are very cracked and dry but its worth the pain haha.

It comes in a variety of flavours; strawberry, cherry, mint and original. I enjoy them all but strawberry and cherry are my favourites. The product is available in both a little pot and a squeezy tube. I much prefer the tube because I think it is more hygienic than the tub. I try to keep the tubs clean but without fail they always end up disgusting!

I use this all day long, every single day. Especially during the cold weather. I can really tell the difference when I don't use it because my lips begin to dry out so fast.

As well as making lips soft, it is great to use before or after applying lipstick! If used before lipstick, it makes it go on easier. If you apply on top of lipstick it leaves a lovely glossy finish.

I couldn't live without these and you definitely need one in your handbag if you want soft sexy lips!

Word of warning: These seem to be able to grow legs and run away at random. I rarely get to use a full tube/pot as they alway leave me long before they are finished. They do come back to me sometimes though, after hiding in my handbag/pocket/drawer for weeks on end. Carmex, why do you do this to me?!

  1. I've got the strawberry one at the moment - they're cheap and cheerful and do what they claim to. The only thing I don't like is that they're a bit sticky.. Xx

    1. They can be a little sticky! I think thats one of the reasons I prefer the tubes, I find them less sticky & messy than the tubs xx

  2. I use the Carmex pot when my lips really need a boost as it is so lovely and intensive. I'm not as keen on the flavoured ones though as I don't feel like they taste of what they're supposed to! Also feel like the pot version works better even though I'm sure the formula is the same haha x

  4. I had the cherry one and I love the tingling session you get from it. I'm trying to downsize my lip balm collection and when I'm done I think I'll get this and this only.

  8. I don't think I've ever tried Carmex! :O I've seen the brand everywhere - on and off the internet - but I've always stuck to Vaseline or plain old Chapstick.
