Kat Von D Sinner Eye shadow Review

This is by far my favourite pallet ever.  It was like it was made for me!

It is produced by Sephora in the Kat Von D range so it isn't available in the UK.  My friend Jess at SimplyJess4U sent me it over as I was dying to try some of Kat's makeup.  I adore Kat, she is my idol and I think she is just gorgeous.  When her makeup range was launched I was gutted that it wasn't available where I live but thankfully Jess came to the rescue!  SuperJess!

This palette cost $36 which is £22 in my own currency.  It is beyond worth the money, I'd pay more for it if I had to.  The pigments outshine every other brand I have in my collection... And I have a lot!

The pallet comes with 8 different 1.4g shadows, which works out at under £3 per shadow, how amazing is that?  Plus you get a small version of the Puro Amor Black Autograph pencil eye liner with it.

The shadows are right up my street, I love wearing dark colours and mixing a few together.  Since most of the colours are dark I get loads of different looks out of this pallet and I use the 2 light shadows to highlight the inner corners of my eye or below my brow bone.

The colours all have names which are named and swatched below: (L_R)
Disco Dust, Linzy-Jane, Ace of Spades, Violator, Holy Bible, Glock, Dorian Gray, Lucifer

I've worn this on a lot of occasions now and it has lasted me all day without creasing, and that is without primer.  I haven't tried the shadows with any eye primer before so I can't really compare.  However, if it is long lasting without it then I am assuming it would be even better with it?

I've heard that people don't like like pallet as it kicks up a lot of dust?!  I must say it hasn't done that with me, not at all.  I don't have a problem with that or the shadow falling down my face during application either.  I actually think the shadows apply really easily!  They are very pigmented so not a lot of product is needed to give a dramatic look - always a good thing! Means the palette will last longer and I'm not complaining!  I also love the fact that the black shadow is properly black!  A lot of companies think that girls don't want pure black shadow and make them dark but sort of off-black... Annoying!  This palette definitely gives you proper doom and gloom black and I love it!!

As for the liner, I love that too!  I like wearing gel or liquid on my top lid and pencil on the bottom.  It lasts for ages with minimal touch ups needed and it glides on very easily due to it's creamy consistency. I will buy the large version of this when I'm running low, I don't want to be without it now!

I can't believe how much I love this pallet!  I've been glued to it since I got it.  Cant wait to build up my KVD collection!

Have you tried the Sinner pallet?  Or would you like to try it?

  1. Ah this sounds absolutely amazing. I've wanted to try Kat Von D make up forever. Did you see that episode of LA Ink where they completely covered her in the foundation and you couldn't tell she had tattoos? It was amazing.
