At first I wasn't too sure about it, as I was never overly into spot cleaning. I'd always have a face wipe
handy to give my brushes a little wipe after use but that was about as far as my effort would go. The face wipe only removed a small amount of the product but it did stop product from building up on brushes so quickly. I was more of a deep clean once a week kind of gal. But, now I've found this I'm a changed woman!
I use this to spot clean brushes after every use now and it's actually amazing. My brushes are almost product free after spot cleaning as it takes away so much build up. The formula dries quickly and can even help prolong the life of your brushes. I love how this solution gives such a good clean without leaving behind a funny smell or texture on your brushes. The best thing about this product is the feeling of (almost) new brushes for every single use. I find that makeup applies much easier now as there is less build up left on brushes from previous applications. In an ideal world we'd all deep clean after every use but let's face it, that's not practical at all and this is where Mac Brush Cleanser steps in; it keeps the brushes feeling fresh the whole week through. Before spot cleaning I'd deep clean my brushes with mild face wash every week (or so) and by that point they would badly need it. Now, I still deep clean but much less product residue is washed off as this cleanser takes off a lot of it throughout the week.
To use this, I pour some a little amount onto a thin cloth (a thick one soaks up too much product) and I swirl the makeup brush against it until I feel that it's clean. Only a little product is needed and it really makes a huge difference.
I wish I'd purchased this product much sooner and I will 100% be repurchasing this every time I run out.
Do you use this product? Or any other brush cleaners?
