Lush 'Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask' Review

I got this Fresh Face Mask for £5.95 for 75g of product at my local Lush store.

It has an expiry date as it is made from fresh ingredients. This basically means Love Lettuce has less chemicals added to it than other masks that have a long shelf life. This is better for the skin and gives better results.   As the ingredients are so fresh the mask should be stored in the fridge.

It is green in colour and is made up of a seaweed gel and has little granules through it to give the skin a light exfoliation .  Here is a picture of the product:

I got 7 applications out of this tub, so I think it is great for the money!  A normal face mask is normally 99p for one application, so by getting 7 from one Lush tub, it is good value (especially as the ingredients are better quality).  The only problem with this is that you must use by the sell by date or you have wasted your product.  If you use masks a lot then this is for you, if you don't use a lot then I'd recommend using a mask that lasts for longer.

This is aimed at 'oily' or 'teenage' skin. I wish my skin would realise that I'm 24, I should be past this stage by now!  All those people who promised me my skin would get better were liars haha!

I do love this mask.  The beads in the paste help give a gentle exfoliation and my skin always feels softer after use.  This is great for me as I love exfoliating my skin regularly to get rid of the grimy dead cell build up.  I especially like the exfoliation aspect if I've been wearing a lot of make up as it makes my skin feel extra clogged up but this fixes that!

Ok, I don't look great when I have this product on but my skin feels great!
I am 100% going to keep buying this mask as I can feel a difference in my skin.  Okay, its not perfect yet but my pores feel less clogged up so it is doing something right!  And like I said, I love exfoliating my skin so Love Lettuce kills 2 birds with one stone!  Well it doesn't really, Lush is a cruelty free brand, but you know what I mean!

  5. I am definitely going to try Love Lettuce. I just bought the Catastrophe Cosmetic(the blueberry) and used it the first time last nite. I am getting addicted to fresh facial mask. Even though I have to rush through to get it to be used up since it does have an expiry date but love the natural ingredients and no chemicals. Thanks for the review!

  9. Lovely review! I'd love to try this mask, I always like LUSH masks, that cupcake one's a favourite for my skin. I occasionally miss the use-by dates but I use any leftover product on my usually neglected feet and give them a nice pamper :) xx

  12. I love Lush masks that smell like food Cupcake and Oatfix. If you love scrubby masks like Love Lettuce, I think Brazened Honey would just up your alley.

  13. This is better for the skin and gives better results. As the ingredients are so fresh the mask should be stored and you can find more.Skin Doctors
